Job Mission
The System Integration Project Lead (PL) for Electrical Infrastructure, Software, Computer Hardware, and Safety PLC projects will manage a team of engineers who represent the development and engineering teams located at ASML’s company headquarters in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The Satellite Team manages and executes integration and validation of next-generation software, safety PLC and electrical infrastructure for EUV laser generation semiconductor systems on prototype sources based in San Diego. In addition the Satellite Team supports escalations on customer systems around the world, factory systems in Veldhoven, and prototypes in San Diego.
Job Description
Manages Electrical, Safety and Software (ESS) Satellite Team engineering activities in San Diego, for Veldhoven development & engineering projects Creates project plans and tracks schedules, performance targets, resource plans, prioritization and general planning activities for engineering deliverables Ensures documentation, hardware and software in place prior to verification and validation test start Coordinates execution of module and system-level testing, compliance/reliability testing and life testing required for product release Ensures documentation is completed prior to release for Functional, Alpha and Beta testing Manages escalations and coordinates issue resolution including root cause investigations, containment and solution definition, for prototype, pilot, production and worldwide customer systems Provides project management interface to Project Leads in Veldhoven, as well as critical stakeholders in San Diego (Integration, Program, Customer Support, Manufacturing, Safety & local development and engineering projects) Proactively manages cross-functional communication to ensure coordination between engineering projects and other departments Proactively gathers lessons learned during project execution and chairs reviews upon completion of project activities Identifies issues and risks during planning and execution, and develops mitigation plans Monitors quality of assigned team members work and mentors to ensure quality is achieved in conjunction with Group Lead Provides review feedback to Group Lead for assigned team members Recommends way of working improvements Other assignment as needed
Education
Requires a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or software engineering or other related engineering or science. Master’s Degree preferred Minimum of eight (8) years of experience is required with a BS degree, six (6) years of experience is required with an MS degree

Experience with product development through complete product life cycle
Experience with managing project teams with 5-12 core team members
Experience developing and executing project plans with cross-disciplinary teams

Context of the position
The EUV source team in San Diego operates in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative, and challenging environment to create new-to-industry solutions with rapid productization to support an aggressive commercialization plan for the EUV technology within ASML and at customers. The ESS Satellite Team is responsible for the integration, qualification, and support of system software, computers, safety PLC and safety software. The complexity of the EUV source puts exciting and challenging demands on the project, who will be engaged in integration, verification and validation testing and escalation support.
