Introduction
ASML is known for its lithography systems- machines which combine state of the art optics with cutting-edge laser technology and powerful mechatronics modules.
Mechatronic Systems Development (MSD) provides cutting edge mechatronics solutions for ASML products. MSD specifies designs and trade-off technical solutions and predictably integrate, industrialize and deliver mechatronic subsystems. These include stages to transport and position the wafer within the machine, steer mirrors and other optical elements and provide a disturbance-free dynamical environment.
Within this department the Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering group guards the industrialization fundamentals. Engineers of this group are working in multidisciplinary teams. They maintain good contact with ASML manufacturing and customer support engineers.
Job Mission
As Manufacturing and Equipment engineer you are the interface between the Development and Manufacturing and/or Customer Support. You understand how they operate and are able to represent them during the design of new products and modules. You are aware of the main issues within operations and are able to bring these back into the development organization.
Your deliverables are: Making impact analysis’s in the early phases of the project, provide support during proto and pilot phase and creating technical documentation to enable the factory and customer support to take over the product and process when the project is finalized
