R&D Engineer Job Description

• Managing projects regarding product conception and improvement: elaborate plans; define nomenclatures and any technical characteristic; organize, plan, follow, estimate results; validate all different project steps;
• Guarantee the information flow between R&D, Direction, Production, Sales and Quality;
• Leading preventive and corrective actions regarding product conception or improvement: documentation, homologation and expertise of products or samples for internal or external customers or suppliers.
• Supporting product risk analysis in line with Production and Quality;
• Supporting pears with technical know how: assist Production on fixing technical issues, train the Sales forces on new products and assist for presentations at the customers, qualify technical aspects for Procurement, etc.

R&D Engineer Job Requirements

• You graduated as Engineer in Mechanics, Physics or Electro-mechanics and you are willing to develop your career within a Material R&D Department;
• You have knowledge in stress calculation, FEA, CATIA 5.0, hydro mechanical fluids or mechatronic systems. You have a good background in mechanic construction and a proven knowledge of metallic / non-metallic materials;
• You have a good technical knowledge in the manufacturing of copper alloys and stainless steel alloys. Experience is an asset.
• You are fluent in English and feel comfortable in French and German as well in verbal, written communication as in reading. Your behavior facilitates the information streams between Production, R&D, Sales, Customers and any other partner on the project.
• You know how to take the Lead on projects and bring all involved people to work towards a common objective.
• You are objective oriented and take care of parameters like cost, quality, quantity and deadlines.
