Introduction
Do you enjoy teamwork, sharing a vision and solving problems using creative thinking? If so you will enjoy ASML. You need to be a true self-starter, making contacts with different disciplines at different levels – it’s a great opportunity for professional development and personal growthPosition in the organization
The department Wafer Clamping & Pellicle is part of the EUV Business Line in ASML. Its task is to specify, develop, integrate, qualify and industrialize wafer clamps, pellicles and particle contamination solutions in the area of EUV (Extreme Ultra Violet) Scanner Technology. The Pellicle group is part of this department. The holder of the position reports to the manager EUV Pellicle and is operational within multidisciplinary projects.
The group Pellicle is responsible for optimizing the scanner performance by providing an extremely thin membrane which can be applied in an EUV scanner. The pellicle should increase the particle defectivity performance of an EUV scanner without having negative impact on other performance parameters. The pellicle material and mechanical expert should build-up understanding on how to manage the stress in pellicle films. Important aspects are the impact of the manufacturing steps and the impact of thermal load. We need to create understanding and models for stress behavior in combination with the used stack materials: cap, core and interfaces.
Job Description
-Visual inspection of broken films / pellicle in assembly process and scanner
-Apply methods to determine origin of failure within the pellicle membrane
-Define and (help) to setup data structure for breakages
-Standardize analysis methods
-Use and maintain breakage fishbones
-Define procedures to get data needed for breakage hypothesis in the fishbones (standardize root cause finding)
-Build-up understanding on how to manage the stress in our pellicle films.
-Create understanding and build models for stress behaviour (processing and combination with the used stack materials: cap, core and interfaces).
-Define tests and theory to verify breakage hypothesis
-Film reliability test methods and / or screening tests
-Film / Pellicle handling (PWC)
-Achieves results by literature search, experimental testing and supervision of external activities.
-In-depth knowledge of mechanical-material characterization methods.
