As NVH Lead Engineer you will be leading the development of NVH within Lightyear. In a team of highly skilled and talented engineers you will master noise, vibration and harshness development and you will set out the guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Setting Vehicle NVH targets and Requirements for our first groundbreaking vehicle the Lightyear One
- Assisting members of all systems (e.g. Interior, Exterior, Vehicle Dynamics) in the development of the NVH attribute through the design phase to ensure Lightyear One meets customer expectations and vehicle level targets are met.
- Educating engineers through the business about the NVH attribute.
- Leading the Vehicle Level NVH Verification and Validation by completing and/or organizing NVH testing on relevant Vehicle Prototypes both in house and outsourced facilities.
- Assess and analyze NVH performance from virtual prototype through production utilizing simulation and test methods
- Validate and optimize design concepts using experimental test methods such as modal analysis, point mobility, acoustic and vibration sensitivity, and transfer path analysis

Requirements
- A Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related education (Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred)
- At least ~3- 5 years experience in the Delivery of NVH Attribute in a product in the Automotive Industry
- Relevant courses on NVH and related fields are preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective solutions - Experience with acoustic and vibration test equipment and data analysis software (LMS Test.Lab, HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS, etc.)
- Ability to work independently in a complex and fast moving environment with a highly dynamic character
- Highly evolved written and oral communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills but also demonstrated abilities in resolving complex issues regarding NVH
- Availability for 40 hours a week
