Data Analist Job Description

Introduction
Do you enjoy deep-diving in processes & related data, turn data into information, analyze
and transform information into insights and support at improvement projects? Are you a pragmatic team player that likes to participate in solving challenges in a complex, high tech environment? Then you are a great candidate to become our new Data Analyst.

Job Mission
In the position of Data Analyst you will be working in 2 areas. First area is to get data analysis at a higher level in the Mechatronics Hardware (MH) Standardisation & Infrastructure department. Second area is working in an improvement team with engineers and a Project Leader. 
As Data Analyst you take responsibility:

• To develop the analysis competency. 
• To find and combine (structured and unstructured) data, transfer it into information and insights (by applying different techniques), as foundation for successful structural improvements and project execution.

• Inthernal drive to “find the needle in the haystack”. 
• Skills and knowledge in Statistics,Business Intelligence and business processes.
• Presenting and explaining analytical problems, approach, results and recommendations.

Data Analist Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor or degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Intelligence or similar.

Experience      
2-5 years’ experience in business processes as product development, industrial engineering or supply chain management. Having knowledge and hands-on working experience with data (-bases), techniques, analysis tools and statistics.Knowledge/understanding of complex development & production (control) processes, preferably in a high tech, low volume environment. Preferable knowledge of Product Life cycle Management (PLM) and ERP environments.

Personal skills 
Thinks creative, out of the boxPragmatic, pro-active, entrepreneurial. Team player, good social skills, customer-oriented, business sense.Good communicative skills, including presentation skills.

Context of the position 
The sector Development & Engineering aims to increase product and process robustness in ASML by providing strong support in projects for new product introduction. The holder of this position reports to the  DE MH standardization and Infrastructure.
