Introduction

Job Description
Creating and maintaining all the service and manufacturing documentation (Procedures,
PCS, FCO, Newsflash) and their archives and be main interface and expert for
all issues, tooling and processes related with this documentation.

• Understands and can explain the requirements given in tip service documentation guidelines and apply them.
• Can design complete guidelines and templates.
• Is familiar with the rules and guidelines concerning Knowledge Protection Program and IP and can apply these rules.
• Is expert on the rules and guidelines regarding safety and can apply these rules.
• Knowledge of Arbotext, Tango, Indicenter 

Technical Writer Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor degree in technical area with 4-7 years of experience or Master degree with 3-4 years of experience, or proven experience as Tech. Author.

Personal skills
Write & Edit

• Can (re)write service documentation (Procedures, FCO, PCS and newsflash) in correct English.
• Can effectively and efficiently apply working methods and tools Of the department.
• Specify requirements concerning illustrations, technical input or user feedback etc.
• Is expert user of documentation tools, and is main contact for these tools for all departments.
• Can independently test procedure on machine, test rig or SAWS. Shape the future
• Discusses changes to improve quality and quantity of the team's (Authors & Equip-Makes correct use of the available tools, templates and guidelines.
• Can convert input from the Equipment and Manufacturing Engineers into a proper documents (layout and language wise) for the target audience.
• Is able to create a good balance between text and graphical elements.
• Is familiar with the concepts and techniques of editing.
• Can edit English text for spelling, grammar and style according ASML guidelines.
• Can initiate improvements (both technical content and layout) to make a document better.
• Can edit a set of documents such that they are / stay coherent.
• Can give Equipment and Manufacturing Engineers guidance on the specifications that are required for a certain document.
• Shows ownership document classification choices (eg OCAP vs PCS). Publish & Manage
• Can decide which is the best format to save data.
• Knows difference between document management and content management and the requirements.
• Is familiar with the terminology from different technical disciplines.
• Can identify the terminology for certain documents and monitor its correct use.
• Can delegate submitted Comments and PCS to the appropriate Equipment/Manufacturing Engineer and ensure they are solved within the agreed tin-p.
• Has ownership for all service documentation for his/her competency.
• Is familiar with documentation processes (including publication).

• Can make a proper design for a nonstandard document.
• Can design such that a design can be used on paper as well as for screen output.
• Can create and edit complex illustrations.
• Is familiar with different type, formats of illustrations and can explain why they are useful or not. Specific Technical Capability
• Can convert a document from one format to another format.
• Can create and edit web pages to publish information.
• Can maintain the archives (single copy, version control)
• Can do complex operations (change, edit, additions) on illustrations, and convert illustrations to the proper publishing format.
• Can (re)write effective service documentation for ASML products according to the specifications and standards and based on input from Equipment Engineers.ment Engineers) documentation output and suggest and drive implementation of possible solutions.
