Introduction
Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of ASML products.
In this sector, the department Software Architecture & Integration (SWAI) specifies, executes and controls the testing and integration of the software of various subsystems into a complete software release.
Position in the Organization: The software test architect is responsible for defining what and how the new software items should be tested. The test architect reports to the group leader D&E SW A&I Test.
Job Mission
Define and improve the software test process and the software test strategy, create and execute the software testing roadmap to improve software testing in ASML.
Job Description
Define the test roadmap to improve software testing on system, sub-system and component/unit level. Together with the test architects of the sub-systems identify how these improvements are to be implemented, deployed and become part of the standard way of working.
Define which test frameworks and/or test tools will be used to ensure consistency over sub-systems and components/units, and provide flexibility required by each development team.
You will work together with other test architects to define the overall test strategy and ensure that over the different system functions the same way of working on software testing is applied.
On software system level you will work together with the system software test engineers to improve the existing test cases, by increasing their coverage and/or by automating them to increase efficiency, and define new test cases. Together with software release project leaders you ensure budget becomes available to realize these improvements.
