Introduction
Do strategic negotiations in a high tech environment energize you? Within our Strategic Sourcing department we would like to welcome an enthusiastic Sourcing Lead Electronics. The Sourcing Lead is a challenging position reflecting the dynamics of ASML with a high spend responsibility and frequent exposure to Senior Management.
The Sourcing Lead initially reports to the Category Manager and is encouraged to drive their own development and map their personal growth path.

Job Mission
The Sourcing Lead acts as a strong leader and pro-actively liaises with Senior Management and external partners in  order to assure the setup and realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals. In ASML`s dynamic environment the Sourcing Lead provides direction and initiates change.

Job Description
The Sourcing Lead Electronics:
-Drives and executes global strategies to achieve assigned ASML Business Unit targets
-Builds and maintains long-term relationships with (inter)national suppliers
-Negotiates on senior management level with suppliers
-Uses subject matter expertise and market knowledge to shape stakeholder demand
-Manages overall procurement for product related goods and initiates continuous improvements
-Involves selected suppliers in early stages of New Product Introduction of ASML
-Leads Supplier Account Teams (QLTC-S) and acts in Product Family Teams
-Interacts with internal stakeholders (e.g. Development & Engineering) on all levels
-Is willing to travel

 

Sourcing Lead Electronics Job Requirements

Education
Higher vocational education/ Master's degree in a relevant area (e.g. Business Economics, Business Administration, Technology Management) preferable combined with Commerce related courses.

Experience
-Min. 8 years of work experience in a professional, complex and international environment.
-Experienced and strong negotiator in charge of large budgets.
-Team player with proven ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary projects.
-Know how in electronics or closely related fields.

Personal skills
Good communicator combined with a result-driven solution-focused mentality. Team player who creates strong commitment amongst internal stakeholders and external parties. Strategic, analytical, structured, accurate and able to maintain overview, assess priorities and focus on concrete results.

Context of the position
The electronics procurement team is responsible for sourcing, managing supplier relationships and contracting. The team consists of procurement professionals with a can-do mentality and capable of building bridges with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

As a large-scale system integrator, ASML focuses on extensive outsourcing and integration of its supply chain. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost price is accounted for by purchased goods. Therefore, high level flexibility must be built into the supplier network.

​​​​​​​The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Department creates, maintains and qualifies this global network and is responsible for all suppliers interaction. This enables the execution of the ASML Business Unit plans (Development, Production and Customer Support) and operates according to the principles of Value Sourcing.
