Senior Expert Wind Job Description

In order to consolidate our leading market position in wind energy expert services, we are looking for a motivated senior project manager with commercial flair (m/f) to join our wind energy consultancy team.
With support from the other team members, your tasks will consist of:

·       Top-level consultancy services to international customers, including:
o Guidance to project developers throughout project development: from conception to design and operations
o Study of the technical and economical feasibility of wind energy projects worldwide
o Detailed simulation and analysis of wind farm layouts, detailed resource assessment using advanced modelling techniques
o Risk reduction and  quality assurance throughout wind project guidance: project design, wind resource assessment, contracting, follow-up of construction phase, commissioning, operational management
o Contract negotiation and review, due diligence work, technical advisory : guiding  wind stakeholders through a successful financial close process

·       Sales: development of our international portfolio in wind energy consultancy

·       Expertise development: following the latest developments in the wind energy sector in order to keep 3E at the top level in wind energy development services
Guidance of more junior team members for both technical questions and project management

Senior Expert Wind Job Requirements

Profile
·       Trained as civil or industrial engineer, or equivalent through experience
·       Minimum 5 years relevant experience in wind energy or a related field, preferably in consultancy or project guidance
·       Proven track record of successful project management and customer relationship management
·       Available for short trips abroad

Skills
·       Proven track-record in wind resources assessment and/or other wind consultancy services as stipulated in job description
·       Strong commercial flair; prior experience in project acquisition is a strong asset
·       Prior experience in offshore or onshore wind contracting is a strong asset
·       Able to combine an eye for detail with an helicopter view on projects
·       Very strong organisational capabilities
·       Analytical mind and innovative and creative spirit
·       Good written and spoken communication capabilities and interpersonal skills
·       Good knowledge of WindPro/WASP or similar - knowledge of CFD/ mesoscale modelling is an asset
·       Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset (preferably French/Dutch)
