Job Mission
To achieve fast market introduction of ASML’s newest technologies requiring a high level of product integrity throughout their lifecycle to enable affordable microelectronics, the change manager helps cross sector teams, on operational level, protecting the business of ASML
against uncontrolled and unplanned changes while balancing speed and quality.
The Change Manager will organize and secure the process for product changes to ensure quality of the impact analysis and implementation planning to minimize costs and processing time. This role safeguards the change process, its adherence and configuration management policy throughout the lifecycle of the product, across all sectors within ASML.
Job Description
The Configuration Management team manages global configuration information, enabling ASML to achieve excellent delivery performance at minimum cost.
Fast market introduction of ASML’s newest technologies requires a high level of product integrity throughout their lifecycle to enable affordable microelectronics. New hardware and changes on hardware are requested on daily basis for our products. A smooth implementation of these changes is crucial for our business. It is your mission to organize and secure the process for product changes to ensure quality to minimize costs and processing time.
Change Specialists make the difference in the efficiency and profitability of ASML by steering
product change requests through the product life cycle. Tactically facilitate our product change process, applying configuration management experience and your ability to influence people. You help our cross sector teams, on improving communication and decisions making, to protect the business of ASML against uncontrolled and unplanned changes while balancing speed and quality.
Scope and key areas of responsibilities:
Secure quality of impact analysis and implementation strategy, to support decisions making in the process:
-Categorize changes towards the correct decision making path
-Organize and plan delivery of impact analysis by routing required actions to the appropriate cross sector stakeholders (empower roles)
-Manage cost estimation of impact by using the information from the impact analysis
-Plan, record and communicate decisions on changes incl. decisions on delivery of impact analysis and implementation plans
-Recognize and advise on scope of change requests (scope control, new or update change)
-Chair and organize a x-sector technical review to facilitate the delivery of impact analysis
-Record and communicate output of technical review
-Achieve agreements on impact of dependencies on other changes, projects and business decisions
-Record and communicate decision of changes to impacted stakeholders of change
-Monitor and report progress on closed loop change process, per change and per group of dependent changes
Secure quality of change implementation plan while optimizing implementation cost and processing time:
-Prepare Change Notifications for implementation in Development and Operations.
-Organize and plan delivery of implementation plan which secures end-item traceability and minimizes implementation costs (verify re-identification decisions)
-Chair and organize the translation of the impact analysis to an change implementation plan
-Coordinate and coach cross-sector project team and drive execution in close alignment with Project ---Lead(s) and other project members
-Consider workloads prior to releasing a Notifications to the CIB for implementation
-Coordinate dependencies across Notifications
-Monitor, intervene and align with organization in case of master schedule changes and product definition changes, impacting change notifications and their x-project / x-product dependencies
-Aim to align change notifications with the KD-milestones of the PGP process
-Aim to group change notifications impacting same documents and same effectivity
Monitor changes until implementation is finished and feedback deviations on plan:
-Monitor and control the implementation of approved Change Notifications
-Audit the change notification until implementation is finished and feedback deviations on plan to organization
-Audit the change notification on identification of documents, creator-user assignment, and release planning according CM policy
-Contact change organization on findings and feedback to improve adherence
-Monitor adherence to the closed loop change process and feedback non-adherences to organization (CM by CM and operational)
-Monitor and report on performance of the closed loop change process to the organization
Actively contribute to improve CM ASML (policy itself and embedding in business environment):
-Advocate CM mission & vision across ASML (role of change specialist and change process policy)
-Write requirements and validate the solution for CM Improvement Projects
-Creator (own and improve) and/or user of work instructions, templates and training material associated with this role.
-Role as Document Change Specialist in our process to Maintain CM Documents
-Role as Business Process Analyst involved in process development in ARIS (BPM tool)
-Act as buddy and back up to other (new) employees in this role
-Trainer/key user to other employees in this role and to peers CM
-Use CM4CM process to report problems or request changes to improve CM at ASML
-Asses impact, take decision on solution and implementation in case of fast track CM4CM change requests
-Approve document changes as creator (subject matter expert) on CM4CM changes
-Help on implementation plan as result of documents changes as user on CM4CM changes Experience &
Education
-At least 10 years’ work experience of which at least 7 years’ experience in new product introductions
-Requires combination of specialist (Configuration Management) and project management
skills
-Appliance of organizational change management techniques
-Proven analytical and conceptual skills combined with business sense
-Know upstream impact of changes (e.g. logistics, operation, customer support)
-Proven experience in managing multiple changes, configurations and their dependencies
-Configuration Management certification (CMII module 1-4) is preferred.
-Ability to recognize and react within changing project requirements, deadlines and priorities
-Experience managing direct reports, interviewing, setting targets, and evaluating performance (PPM) Personal skills-Natural leader in providing structure, prioritization and decisiveness
