Quality Engineer Job Description

Introduction

Job Mission
This individual plans and executes and facilitates ASML’s defined FMEA procedure for process/safety in an effective manner. In addition supports the WF SPC program. 

Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity in our Wilton, Connecticut facility to join our Quality Team. In this position you will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Perform FMEA/pFMEA session planning with responsible Project personnel for Process/Safety FMEA’s.
• Review and ensure related FMEA session presentations adhere to ASML requirements
• Facilitate FMEA Brainstorm sessions guiding cross functional groups to effectively identify pertinent risks
• Conduct Risk ranking and mitigation assignment sessions ensuring adherence to ASML guidelines, challenging group when necessary
• Lead and facilitate cross sector teams to implement Statistical Process Control
• Work with D+E and Production Engineering to identify key critical to quality process variables 

Quality Engineer Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor degree in Industrial, Production, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical or Chemical engineering. 

Experience
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in internal auditing, process design and working in manufacturing, quality and or development engineering.  

Personal skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of interfacing with various department organizational levels
• Ability to plan and execute multiple project tasks
• ASQ-CQE a plus 
• Proactive mindset
• Effective meeting facilitation skills
• Strong analytical skills to identify risks
• Knowledge of mechanical or optical assembly manufacturing processes
• Ability to recognize effective root cause and corrective action
