Our client is a well known international company that specialises in thermal controls worldwide.
• To establish project technical requirements through interpretation of specifications and other technical documentation • To design power and control solutions that satify these project requirements • Ensure all bought out equipment (panels, transformers, cables and control/monitoring equipment) associated with projects is correctly specified • Complete Technical Bid Analysis (TBA) for bought out equipment, and lead technical discussions with vendors as appropriate • Check and approve vendor design documents, ensuring they meet project requirements • Generate equipment and “system level” test and commissioning documentation • Attend Factory Acceptance Tests at vendors works ensuring that equipment is build and tested to the appropriate standards and documents • Carry out on-site test and commissioning of power and control systems once on-site installation is complete • Represent the organisation in engineering design discussions with, for example, Clients and sub-contractors
• Assist in the development of new (and modifications to existing) engineering oftware/techniques that will enhance the service provided to clients. • Participate in development and improvement initiatives and undertake internal and external training and product awareness.
• Follow and implement the development in the international standards and norms for industrial non hazardous and hazardous areas. • Will work on one large project or several middle-sized projects parallel at the same time.
• Minimum Bachelor Degree (HTS-E) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. • Proven design experience within a process, oil and gas, or petrochem environment • > 5 years experience in the specifying, design, and testing of electrical control panels, power transformers and LV power distribution systems (including hazardous area applications) • Computer literate - be able to utilise in-house company design software packages and proficient in a wide variety of MS Office programs (Word, Excel) • Be a self-starter, detail oriented and a good communicator, both written and oral. • Act as an “Ambassador” for the company when interacting with clients • Be able to exemplify the core values: Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Accountability • Fluent in English (speaking/written)
Preferred • Preferably some knowledge of heat tracing applications • Full driving license
Comments • Will participate in the Bonus Scheme • Must be prepared to stay away from base overnight on company business or on assignments.
