The mission of CS NPI EUV is to enable an on-time EUV ramp in the nodes:
- MPU (1276)
- Logic (N5, L7, 7LP)
- DRAM (D16, D150S)
at designated cost while securing a profitable service business in 2020
The contribution of CS NPI EUV Operations is to Remove “Waste” and enable Results by implementing Operational Excellence.
How do we get there?
We identify “waste” in the current way of working by performing analyses together with the process owners in the local field and CS central organization.
From this analysis we create a roadmap of improvement ideas, strategies, standards and processes. This leads into agreements of the needs and or a portfolio of improvement projects. Areas that are of interest are for example: skill management, how to build an organization to meet cost requirements whilst serving our customer at the right level, performance management, supplier agreements etc. We execute projects to develop, deploy and improve standards and strategies for our CS EUV service business. Each project ends when the new developments have been imbedded in the standard WoW of the CS department.

The business architect is responsible to create and manage the time based Operational Excellence roadmap towards the needed results.
Job Description
- You will perform analyses with your team to identify which process improvements are needed.The input will come from the CS field organization and CS central.
- You will create and maintain an active network with local sites representatives and representatives from CS Central to consolidate input, agree on deliverables and timing and review progress of the projects.
- The service business architect is the owner of the CS EUV NPI OPS roadmap. You need to ensure high level of acceptance of this roadmap by all stakeholders.
- You need to drive the projects underneath this roadmap. Also you need to confirm that the roadmap realizes the waste reduction mission needed to achieve a profitable EUV NPI service business and is aligned to the needs of HVM.
- In the current development it is expected that you would need to build your team in close cooperation with the CS EUV Operations Director
Education
MBA or Master degree in (industrial) engineering or management or comparable experience
Experience
• More than ten years’ experience in complex industry and (worldwide) operations
• Several years’ experience with and in Operations Control or Performance Improvement projects within a world wide support organization
• Experience in lean, lean deployment and operational excellence is preferred
• Experience in managing (end-) customer communication and stakeholder management
• Knowledge of ASML organization is a requirement, knowledge with CS and D&E is preferred and/or ASML products (in specific EUV knowledge)Personal skills
• High level of personal ownership, initiative and drive
• Capable of influencing people without formal authority, also at senior management levels
• High level of personal leadership skills and well developed coaching skills
• Able to analyze working methods / business processes, define and drive improvements, combined with a hands-on mentality
• Able to bring structure, align within an organization and create commitment
• Excellent communication skills (English, both verbal and written)
• Cultural awareness and the ability to work with different cultures
Context of the position
CS EUV Operations Control is a growing department inside the CS EUV NPI&NTR organization. This department is using Operational Excellence techniques, such as LEAN, to reduce waste and streamline processes to organize for the worldwide ramp up of EUV in the field.
Close functional cooperation with local CS CI Service teams in the field, CS NPI teams, CS Finance, CS Cost Reduction program management, CS Business Planning.Position in the organization
The holder of this position reports to the CS EUV Operations Director.
Other information
Position will include frequent traveling (~ 25%) to worldwide CS local teams in US and Asia.
