Furthermore, the continuous improvement manager RCA is the coach of individuals and the RCA investigation team(s).Within the sector Development and Engineering (D&E), the MI Service and Manufacturing Technology department is dedicated to increase the robustness of the company’s products and processes. By driving industrialization solutions related to Reliability, Availability, Manufacturability and Serviceability (RAMS), the Spare Parts group brings together the key competencies needed to execute structural parts improvements throughout ASML’s product development programs.

Job Mission
The main purpose is to develop and expand the RCA capability of our ASML organization and deliver concrete results via complex RCA projects.
The purpose of the job can be divided into two areas. The first area is the coaching and training of groups and individual people. The expert must be able to give expert training on root cause analysis techniques and coach people on a personal level (explain way of thinking and use of tools). Secondly, he/she should be able to support and drive a technical root cause analysis project (investigation support).
He/she should guide/help the project team for choosing the right direction in their investigation and help selecting and using the correct RCA tools.
Furthermore he/she should be able to translate experience into new RCA structures/tools and help defining the RCA strategy.

Job Description

• Prepare and execute Statistical Engineering training’s based on ASML’s existing training structure and processes;
• Drive Shainin RCA projects towards the Red X via investigation skills and project management skills;
• Coach people on a personal level to achieve the right knowledge level and attitude of the  trainee;
• Responsible for the development of ASML’s RCA capabilities;
• Contributing in the development of the RCA strategy and deployment within ASML;
• Drive RCA improvements (structural RCA improvements).

Continuous Improvement Manager Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor or Master technical degree;
• Six Sigma Black belt level;
• Shainin Statistical engineering trained;
• Reliability growth modeling/Statistics.Experience

• Have broad experience in Project Management and coaching;
• Have experience in Change Management;
• Have experience in Production or process control;
• Have the mindset of finding root cause of a failure no matter what is required;
• Have at least 10 years of relevant work experience;
• Have a high focus for quality and continuous improvement, experience with problem solving techniques (Shainin);
• Have broad scope covering design aspects, manufacturing, qualification and service;
• Preferably have experience with ASML products;
• Have a basic commercial understanding of how to deal with customers and suppliers.Personal skills-Independent thinker, Result driven, eager to find the root cause;
• Excellent quantitative and non-quantitative data and information analysis skills;
• Fluent in English, preferable knowledge of the Dutch language;
• Good verbal skills, phrasing first time right is important;
• Self-starter, showing lots of initiative, hands on mentality;
• An agile way of working that in necessary in complex organizations;
• Being able to work under time pressure;
• Work pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and cultures.
