Project Manager Maritime (Rotterdam) Job Description

Alewijnse Marine B.V., site Rotterdam business unit deals with designing, installing and commissioning of electrical installations in the maritime sector and the offshore. As system integrator we provide the integration of electrical installations, nautical and communication systems and marine automation. Given the increasing internationalisation international project management and turn-key contracting constitutes an important part of our activities.
 
To strengthen our establishment in Rotterdam, we are looking for a: Project Manager Maritime (m/v, 1 fte)

As project manager, you are ultimately responsible for your entire project. Of course, there may be multiple at once. You direct the implementation of large projects on board of ships, based on agreed contracts. Your final responsibility is also to make sure that your project team works together to operate adequately to ensure that the project is successfully completed to the satisfaction of all parties involved. In addition to your role as a project manager, you are also the backup and sparring partner of the Director. You are the first point of contact in his absence. You than lead the daily operational work so that the primary processes remain effective and efficient.

Project Manager Maritime (Rotterdam) Job Requirements

-You need at least one technical college diploma (e.g. Electro) and some shipbuilding installations targeted training,
-Demonstrable relevant work experience with complex technical projects is a must,
-You have a minimum of 5 years experience as project leader ships,
-You are able to motivate your colleagues and to coach,
-You have a business, practical and results-oriented institution,
-A good command of the Dutch and English language in spoken and written is necessary
-Willingness to work abroad.
