Process Engineer Job Description

We are convinced that further improvement can only be achieved with an established culture of innovation and constant optimization of the existing production processes. For the support of our team at the Hamburg location we are looking for you as a 

Process Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks

• assume responsibility for a project team of technicians and engineers
• develop design of experiments
• participate in lab and pilot test campaigns
• identify missing information and determine methodologies to obtain them
• process and analyse lab and pilot test results
• manage process design and development of flow sheets
• develop process design criteria (PDC) as well as mass and energy balances
• plan, execute and manage projects
• create and present project/study/test reports
• commit to project timelines and milestones

Process Engineer Job Requirements

Your Profile

• master’s (university) or technical college degree or equivalent professional experience in metallurgical or chemical engineering or material science
• doctoral degree advantageous
• at least three years of experience in metallurgy
• proficiency in project management (planning and realization)
• profound understanding of track recording in thermodynamic fundamentals, transport phenomena, reactor design and sizing, technology development and transfer
• very good MS Office skills
• excellent command of written and spoken English; strong command of German beneficial
• outstanding communication skills
• work experience in international teams and with different professional groups
• analytical and conceptual way of thinking
• team spirit
