Job Mission
As a part of ASML’s Machine Control & Infrastructure department you will create and maintain the computer systems software hardware architecture with focus on SW (OS, network, configuration, system upgrade and installation). This architecture must enable us to deliver the computer systems software updates with reduced down time for ASML customers and reduced effort to create an update, within 5 years from now.
Job Description
In this role you are responsible for defining what and how new features should be made.
By executing investigations, stakeholder management and requirements gathering and creating
functional designs keeping integrate-ability & testability of the (software part) computer systems platform in mind.
You have a strong contribution to increasing the efficiency and consistency of computer systems developments.
You deliver input for the Computer Systems roadmap and you are able to create and share your vision for the future. As Senior Computer Systems Architect you are also expected to contribute to the ASML wide software architecture in collaboration with the product - and System Architects.
Education
MSc, PDEng or PhD in computer science, software engineering, system engineering, or equivalent
Experience
10 years of work experience as an architect in software development is required.
Personal skills
ASML is a highly dynamic environment, which requires you to be a good communicator, team player, to take initiative and to be result oriented.
As an architect you need to show technical leadership, and influence your stakeholders to deploy software architecture changes and development methods.
Context of the position
This position is within the Software Machine Control & Infrastructure department, which is a part of the Sector Development & Engineering. You will be part of the Computer Systems group which is responsible for the OS, network (communication), configuration, installation, diagnostics. You will closely cooperating with the architecture and integration group. Both groups are part of the SW HW Platform of the ASML product.
