Noel Bovens, Maritime Simulation & Software Group (MSG) manager: 'This MARIN business unit supplies and develops expertise, measurement, analysis and calculation applications together with the customer. (sailing) simulators and knowledge systems. There are 55 colleagues, spread across Sales & Project Management, Software Engineering, Services & Engineering, ICT and Multimedia. '
What are you going to do?
Arend Abbing, Researcher & IT Architect: 'You are responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting calculation and simulation software for predicting the behavior of ships, ship propellers and offshore structures at sea. You fulfill both a technical and communicative function. You have to be able to empathize with the problems and wishes of the customers and to translate these into solutions in software. A good basis from physics and mathematics is of great importance.
Who are we looking for?
Jaap Koolmees, Team Leader Software Engineering: 'We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with an HBO / WO level, in the direction of Informatics, Mathematics or Physics. You have experience with programming in C #, C ++ and JAVA. You understand object-oriented software development and are good at IT architectures. You have an excellent command of the English language, both orally and in writing. And also important, you work just as easily independently as in a team '.
