FEM Specialist Job Description

As an Finite element analysis (FEA) specialist you will be involved in supporting all aspects of structural designing, which involve the use of linear elastic finite element models and composite laminate structures. It is your responsability to ensure that the structure designs and models are developed accordingly and tested under specified test condition and to make sure that the developed model meets all essential standards and regulations.

 

FEM Specialist Job Requirements

Job requirements:

• Experience in using a variety of engineering tools like FEA, MATLAB, MathCAD, Excel, etc.
• Solid Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment, plain text editor (Vi, Emacs, Nedit)
• Exceptional knowledge in product development process and APQP elements
• Knowledge of using various modeling skills (best for ABAQUS EXPLICIT/IMPLICIT analysis, co-simulation, Multiphysics, Thermal Analysis, Coupled Eulerian Lagrangian, SPH)
• Knowledge of advanced FEA skills like transient, fatigue, and non-linear analysis, thermomechanical process, convergence problems
• Exceptional knowledge in steel rolling process development
• Knowledge in technical writing for writing test plans and reports

• Exceptional communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work solitary or in a team
