Your job

• develop leading-edge ophthalmic lens designs considering customer needs and manufacturing requirements
• challenge and discuss product requirements with the development team and product management
• analyze, develop and implement innovative algorithms for the calculation of ophthalmic lenses
• benchmarking and classification of competitor designs against in-house lens designs
• proactive participation in the idea generation process and independent execution of research studies

Research Scientist Optical Lens Design (m/f) Job Requirements

Our requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, vision science or similar field
• working experience beneficial, ideally abroad
• basic knowledge in technical optics, optics of the eye, ray tracing and aberration theory
• confident developing software using state-of-the-art programming languages
• fluent in English, basic German beneficial
• mentality and ability to learn quickly is required
• demonstrated analytical skills and logical thinking
• ability to work independently and in different functional teams
• willingness to work in a global team including international travel
