Senior Cellular RF Validation Engineer (f/m) - JR0047280 Job Description
We are developing high volume leading edge mixed signal RF products for consumer market. Our development group is responsible for block and feature validation of Cellular Radio Transceivers.
These SoCs go into mobile phones, tablets, laptops, IoT devices and many other devices.
You lead validation activities in close collaboration with a global team of system engineers, analogue/digital/FW design experts for world class cellular semiconductor components. You have an end-to-end view of cellular systems across layers and across disciplines.
Job description:
- Activities in the whole development-cycle from transceiver component enabling up to component embedding into modem-solution
- Senior validation engineer with core expertise in planning/tracking/reporting
- Insights on RF performance characterization & optimization
- Technical analysis of RF receiver system-issues and driving solutions within the Transceiver
- Leading a team of skilled RF-engineers to secure receiver RF KPIs
- Alignment with our global product development-team on our cellular solutions
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/kv-2017-0). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.

Required Skills:
- Knowledge of RF receive topologies
- Good analytical thinking and abstraction of technical problems
- Excellent written and verbal communications in English Education background: Bachelor/Master/Doctorate degree in engineering Feel comfortable when working in multi-site and multi-disciplined teams Beneficial:
- Knowledge of various state of the art cellular modem technologies/radio access technologies (GSM/WCDMA/LTE/TD-SCDMA/CDMA200/5G/mmWave CDMA/OFDMA based systems)
- RF system knowledge and understanding of RF KPIs and their system impact Knowledge in operating of RF LAB equipment (spectrum/network analyzer etc)
- Background in RF analogue design Experience in embedded HW/SW design German language knowledge skills are an advantage
