EUMETSAT is Europe’s meteorological satellite agency. Its role is to establish and operate meteorological satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisation's Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.
EUMETSAT also operates several Copernicus missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data services to the Copernicus marine and atmospheric services and their users.
As an intergovernmental European Organisation, EUMETSAT has 30 Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.)

EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. We observe the atmosphere, ocean and land from Space, 24 hours a day, and deliver critical input data for forecasting high impact weather and monitoring climate change. Our work serves the protection of life and property and adaptation to climate change.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced network and security engineer to lead a team of similarly skilled individuals delivering communications network services to our users and partners in a matrix framework. Your focus will be on developing the skill set within your team, with emphasis on up to date network security skills, and delivering operationally secure network services.
You must be a leader, with the ability to identify skills and abilities to support our network security systems, processes and protocols now and in the future. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and enjoy the challenge of a high workload.
With a background in developing and maintaining large scale networks and high availability communications systems in an operational environment, you will hold a current ITIL qualification. Experience of network and routing communication protocols, backbone-interconnecting network technologies and related management protocols is essential. You will be adept at network performance monitoring, reporting and presenting information on service provision to customers.
