regio iT is a Certified Smart Meter Gateway Administrator. Regio iT GmbH fulfills all prerequisites for the provision of IT services as well as the execution of business processes for the Smart Meter Gateway administration. Independent consultants now certify this to the municipal IT service provider.
The security requirements, as prescribed by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in its technical guideline 03109-6, are high: in order to be able to provide services in the field of smart meter gateway administration, standards must be met which have an information security Management system (ISMS). Since 2009, regio iT has been able to refer to a certification of its ISMS according to ISO 27001, which has now been extended by the Smart Meter Gateway Administrator certification as part of a monitoring audit. And in full: all services for intelligent measuring point operation are provided by regio iT from a single source.
