1. Knowledge of various Codes and Standards:
Well Verse with various Mechanical, Fire, and Energy Codes such as ASME B31.3, Section VIII Div 1 & 2, TEMA, EJMA, SMACNA, ASME Section II, PCC, MSS-SP, PFI Codes, API & AISC codes.
2. Proficient with various Pipe Stress Analysis Softwares:
Static and dynamic stress analysis and preparing reports on critical lines using Caesar II. Using Finite element software FE-Pipe for fatigue stress calculations, special support modeling and allowable nozzle load calculations. 3D model review using SPR / Naviswork. Basic drafting skills using AutoCad for equipments and piping layout design. Using AFT impulse for transient phenomena modelling. Pressure drop calculations and study of systems using AFT arrow & AFT Fathom.
3. Interdisciplinary Co-ordination:
Prepare structural loads for piling design to civil. Review of isometric for pipe support requirements with Piping Layout Group. Coordinate development of isometric and orthographic drawings. Create speciality item list and prepare requisitions. Generate/review piping specifications and obtain vendor quotation. Provide input for vendor equipment coordination for piping.
