The core of SCA's business is the forest, 2.6 million hectares in northern Sweden. Around this unique resource, we have built a well-developed value chain based on renewable raw material from our own and others' forests. We offer paper for packaging and print, pulp, wood products, renewable energy, services for forest owners and efficient transport solutions.
There are strong links between forest management, sawmill operations, pulp and paper production, energy and logistics. By conducting these operations jointly, we are confident of strengthening both the individual units and their collective development potential.
The extensive shared know-how in wood fiber has been a source of strength for all of SCA's business areas, particularly in the development of new products.
Our products are sold primarily in Europe, but also in North America, North Africa and Japan.
In 2016, sales amounted to SEK 15.4 Billion and the average number of employees to 4,100.
