    Introduction

    Job Description

    • Provide insight into the progress on main drivers to meet short and longer term targets of the sector manufacturing with strong focus on achievement of Make product cost roadmaps.
    • Analyze and challenge product cost roadmap proposals and provide input to the manufacturing staff in the business review process.
    • Oversee sector specific CAPEX, OPEX, and L3 Expense processes on a monthly and ad/hoc basis.
    • Financial target setting, financial planning and analyses.
    • Prepare financial part of the sector manufacturing presentations for MOR/TAP/LTFP business reviews.
    • Prepare, report, present on status of Financial KPI’s versus target.
    • Align with other sector and business line controllers on above topics.
    • Drive improvements in sector manufacturing reporting and processes.
    • Ad-hoc business analyses. 

    Director; Business Control Manufacturing Job Requirements

    Education
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business economics, and Preferably with Masters of Business Administration or related Masters degree in Business Economics/Finance 

    Experience
    10-20 years of work experience in Finance of which at least 5 years in business control within a manufacturing environment. 

    Personal skills

    • Enable execution of the strategic objectives of the sector manufacturing.
    • Ensure that the manufacturing business team can operate as efficiently as possible within the constraints of the centralized processes. Drive alignment between business line and sector focus and information.
    • Able to understand the manufacturing business in order to effectively execute the business partner role.
    • Able to connect and align with many stakeholders.
    • Able to provide an unbiased view on manufacturing business priorities.
    • Bring opportunities, risks, inconsistencies forward related to product cost developments.
    • Deep financial management experience in all areas of finance and accounting (manufacturing processes in particular).
    • Project management and Change management skills. 
    Context of the position
    You are the spider in the manufacturing web and driver of the main financial performance reporting processes and aspects with strong focus on providing unbiased analysis and opinion on make and Install product cost roadmaps overseeing: >100m+ product cost, >20m+ capital expenditures, >200m+ inventory, and 800+ factory individual employees.

    Will oversee a staff of 3 direct reports. You get the support from assistant operations business controllers and support from the Netherlands financial operations control team. You will also oversee the Wilton D&E controller as one of your direct reports, with responsibility for people management of that role. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
